Energy Sistem Energybook 2061
Taiwanese company Energy Sistem (not a typo) has released it's second e-Reader called the Energy Book 2061. You will get a 6-inch Visplex display, along with 64MB of internal memory (plus an SDHC card slot for expansion), an MP3 player, ePub and PDF support (plus most standard formats), and 6,000 page turns on a battery charge.
This is marked improvement over the original Energy Book 1060 with superior e-ink display and increased gray scale contrast. The device has been built to be compatible with the most popular file formats such as ePUB, FB2 y PDF.
Like most e-Readers, it is compatible with over one million free books from Google Books. Made to run on Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 and MacOS 9.x/X, the device comes with a user friendly multilingual interface. Functions include page-marking, zoom, book search and image viewer.
Energy Sistem has not decided on the release date. However, we are being told that the device could go on sale in Europe from April 2010 onwards for €258 (around $350.00 US). The US release date is still undetermined.
