The eClicto e-Reader
The eClicto is an exclusively Polish e-Reader designed for providing content for the Polish market. It is really a Netronix EB-600 and has the same hardware as the Cool-er, Cybook Gen3, Pocketbook 301, Soribook NUUT, eSlick and Astak Mentor Lite.
In partnership with Gutenberg press, thousands of ebooks in the Polish language will made available, with the first two dozen titles or so already ready for download. It is a vey light eReader with a scroll wheel, 512 MB of flash memory, and a port for an SD Card which makes it expandable up to 4GB.
The fonts have a distinct digital look unlike the more "print-like" Kindle. The unit has a basic e-ink display, with four greyscales for readable fonts.
eClicto is one of first examples of bringing e-publishing from international (English) to national (non-English) level. And it’s not about the equipment this time, its about the content.
